 Here are the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about the list:

Why is the list's "who" not available?
I've discovered that when the "who" of an email list is "open," those who use mass-mail to advertise their products can 'harvest' the list of email addresses for use in their advertising.  It is not the intention of closing the "who" to prevent list members from knowing who the other members are.  I will be more than happy to send a list of the email addresses subscribed to the list to anyone who is also subscribed to the list upon request.

Why do I have to confirm my subscription request?
This is another security measure designed to prevent you from being subscribed to the list without your permission.  It is a feature of the majordomo program, and is a very standard list-management practice.

Who is this majordomo guy and why is he so rude?
majordomo is a 'list-server' computer program which actually manages the forwarding of members' posts to the list.  It is also the means for managing your subscription to the list. If you need to get help from a human person, please email me.

What happened to the old website?
The site that Eagle Spirit created several years ago fell into some disrepair [it happens].  I am in the process of reviewing it, and hope to have the links to member's websites and the membership recommendations of books and shops re-established soon.  Please send me your submissions for the website.
