2010 Planetary Reading
Each year I do a reading with the Crystal Ally Cards to explore the general energies that will be availble to us Earthlings throughout the coming year. This year has a special level of intensity to it, as we look at restructuring our own lives and our planetary systems in order to reflect a higher level of awareness of where we need to be heading collectively and individually. Depending on your personal cycles throughout this year, the following reading may affect you strongly or not-so-strongly on a personal level. As we move through the year, however, you will definitely be able to see how they will play out on the world stage. Remember, these are the energies that we have collectively called in to facilitate the evolution of humanity. The best way to work with them is to recognize what we are being asked to learn during any of the given seasons, and to align our personal evolution with these larger planetary energies. Enjoy!

Gift: Water: Joy & Gratitude: Kunzite & Hiddenite
Kunzite and Hiddenite have appeared as your Allies to remind you of the power of joy and gratitude in your life. At the moment in which you experience these emotions, you are experiencing reconnection to the Divine Creator. Gratitude is the recognition of flow between you and the Universe. When you express gratitude for your life and experience, you establish a flow of energy, giving and receiving between your self and the source of all things. This flow strengthens your sense of connection with all beings. Joy is the recognition of this inner connection. When you sense Joy, you are experiencing the affirmation of the unbreakable bond between the creative force and the creation. While in the state of Joy, you recognize the interconnectedness of all things, and the beauty of the Universe's love for you. Kunzite and Hiddenite are bringing to you the remembrance of your connection with Source, and the celebration of infinite creation. Be grateful for your lessons, your life, and your creations. Give thanks to the Universe for the opportunity to be a conscious being who is able to learn and grow and change. Celebrate the Joy of being a spark of the Divine's Light on Earth. Share this joy and thanksgiving with others, and soon the entire Human race will be raised up to a new level of understanding and Love.

Lesson: Earth: Grounding: Smokey Quartz
Smokey Quartz has come to gently remind you that you need to reconnect with the Earth upon which you live. You have chosen the Earth plane as your home for this lifetime, and though you may long for the return to the freedom of your energetic state of being, you must remember that you have a task to complete before you can return to those higher realms of energy. It is extremely difficult to act on the Earth plane when your head is in the clouds, and unless you bring that high frequency energy down into the physical realms and share it with the Earth, your energy will become stagnant, and your higher chakras will close. You will be unable to fulfill the purpose that you took upon yourself when you incarnated into the physical realm.
Smoky Quartz has come to aid you in entering into communion with the Earth, and reopening yourself to the gifts and lessons of the Earth plane. Accept the gift of knowledge that the physical experience is offering you. Birth your purpose into the Earth plane, expressing your higher Light through the physical realm. It is through this expression of Light in the physical world that you will fulfill your service and create joy on Earth.

Analysis:
What is indicated here is a simultaneous opening of our hearts through a shaking of our foundations. This is actually a theme that began last year and continues throughout the year, developing as we pass through the seasons. We'll look first a the lesson of "Grounding", which in this position indicates that our foundations-- home, family, structures, finances-- need to be rocked a bit in order for new foundations to be put in place. This card addresses the physical aspects of life and our own physical body. You may be challenged during this time to take on new diet and exercise habits, restructure your career or job, change your routines and otherwise "shake it up". On a literal level, this can indicate an increase in earthquake and tectonic activity (as evidenced by the tragic disaster in Haiti). All of this shakeup of our foundations is meant to bring us to a higher undestanding of Joy and Gratitude.
The gift of "Joy and Gratitude" is a gift of consciously receiving what the Divine is offering through the changing structures of our lives. What new gifts are being brought through the decidedly uncomfortable experience of your personal world shifting under your feet? By consciously receiving your gifts, you will experience the state of Gratitude, which is a state of giving energy back to the Divine in reciprocation for what you have received. You cannot feel gratitude unless you truly stop to receive first. We are being taught to acknowledge the support that is available as we move through challenge and restructure our realities. Practice receiving and you will find the support you require to change the very structure of your life to reflect what is most real-- the energy of the heart.
With a Water element card in the gift position and an Earth card as our challenge, you may also be dealing with increased emotional sensitivity-- especially when it comes to where you are or are not being supported in your relationships. Both of these elements are receptive, making it rather difficult to get out of your own way. Humanity as a whole is being asked to recognize our helplessness in the face of major change by greater forces, at the same time that our hearts are being opened in preparation for joining together to create positive change on Earth. These aspects may be a bit difficult at first, but if you can surrender to the process, open your heart, rock with the Earth beneath your feet, and reach out to support others at the same time that you are reaching out to receive what is being given, you'll be in a perfect position to learn the lessons and celebrate the changes heralded by these energies.
On a larger societal and global level, this is the beginning of questioning everything that we have held true as we see structures based on the old paradigm giving way. This crumbling of the old may be a bit difficult at first, as surety and safety will be revealed as illusions. However, the opportunity extists to create new structures that are based upon the energy of the heart-- Joy and Gratitude-- as opposed to the old energies of greed, manipulation and power abuse. We are going to see people coming together to share, instead of the old divide and conquer mentality. We'll need to look to a redistribution of resources, a shedding of cumbersome and unnecessary methods and policies, and the emergence of cooperative creation and celebration of what is still true.
The energies of Earth and Water together are more supportive of introspection and integration, rather than external creation. Don't despair if you can't seem to get out of your own way, however, as the next six months following this season are much more conducive to radical action and creation. Take this time to evaluate what you need to clear from your life, and to celebrate the gifts that remain.
Gift: Fire: The Fire Element
The Element of Fire has appeared as a signal for you to prepare for a transformation! You are being initiated in a "trial by Fire" that will create drastic change in your experience of the physical world. Before the creation of the new can begin, however, the destruction of the old must take place. Fire is directing you to seek deep within, to find the outmoded aspects of your life, and then offer them up to the dragon within, to be transmuted into new and more beautiful creations. Old habits, possessions, beliefs, and creations that no longer serve you are to be swept away in the flames of your own creative force. From the ashes of these outmoded creations, new and more powerful creations will emerge. By offering those things that are no longer needed to the flame of creation, you are making room in your life for the gifts that the universe is offering to you. This transformation and transmutation of spirit may be intense. It is through Fire that we become purified and renewed. Attempting to hold onto those things in your life that no longer serve you will only create difficulty. Release them readily, and you will find them replaced with the "gold and jewels" of spiritual growth and abundant physical creations.
One way to aid in this release is through a candle ritual. Carve symbols for those things that you want to release or transmute into the sides of a candle. Light the flame and meditate upon releasing these things to the flame of fire that will transmute them. Allow the candle to burn until all of the symbols have been melted and transmuted into heat and light. Focus upon releasing them to the Universe, where the creative force will utilize the energy to create new and better forms for you.
Lesson: Water: Acceptance: Lepidolite
Lepidolite has appeared to signal to you that the most productive action you can take at this time is that of accepting the Divine plan. There are many ways that the Universe can work to create miracles in your life. To experience these miracles, you need to recognize when you are being asked to pause and wait for a sign. By opening the receptive side of your nature and practicing acceptance, you are taking yourself out of your own way. Soon, when the Universe has put all of the pieces in their proper places, you will be signaled to take action again.
Lepidolite is telling you to release your present situation to the higher understanding of the Universe. There may be some aspect in what you are attempting to create that is not harmonious with the purposes of the Divine plan. Offer the situation to the Universe, become receptive to a resolution, and accept the guidance that is given to you. You can be sure that whatever purpose the Universe has for you, it will lead you to wonders even more magical than those you could create for yourself. Allow the energy of Lepidolite to aid you in accepting the bounty that is being offered to you, and know that you are a child of the Universe- joyful, abundant, and Divine.

Analysis:
Our gift of Fire is combined with a Water element lesson card, creating an intense polarity of energies between what we are being asked to learn, and what we wish to create. This polarity requires conscious balancing to ensure that our see-saw is not tipped too far in either direction. You can think of polarity energies as expressing themselves either through conflict, tension and a "push me, pull you" dynamic, or as an opportunity for harmony and dynamic balance between opposing energies, viewpoints, agenda's, etc. Of course, those of us who are working to live consciously will be responsible for holding the "dynamic balance" energy, while those who are less conscious may express themselves through a "shoot them all and let God sort them out" mentality. I don't mean for this to seem negative, but it is critical when faced with polarity energies to realize that they bring out that which one needs to heal in order to come into balance. This means a bit of a healing crisis for the world. Building upon the previous season's energies, this healing crisis could come in the form of a natural disaster (especially volcanic, given Fire's role) or through escalated hostilities on both personal and planetary levels. Our conscious use of these energies to create instead of destroy, and to hold a loving heart centered space is critical to help balance the less balanced expressions that could develop.
Not only are the elements of Fire and Water in polarity during this season, but the very energies and meaning of the cards themselves are almost diametrically opposed. In the lesson position we have the Acceptance card, indicating the need to cultivate one's ability to trust and surrender when facing disempowering situations or downright hopelessness. This is an indicator that it may be difficult to feel in control of one's experiences during this time, as we are collectively being encouraged to move into a place of acceptance and surrender. It is in this place of surrender, which many fear, that we find our hearts and our Peace. Moving there consciously and practicing surrender to Divine Will is a great way to take action when in a position of feeling helpless or out of control against the greater forces moving on the planet at this time. We are being asked to surrender the illusion of control and instead to go with the flow of what is being presented, trusting that these shifts and changes are leading us to our collective highest good.
In the gift position we have the Fire element itself, bringing illumination, passion, action, creativity and a high level of energy. The Fire element is one that many people fear because of its cleansing properties and its intensity, but in the gift position this cleansing leads to the creation of the new and a stimulation of the will to take action to create change. This is an excellent time for social action and collaborative creation. Be aware of a tendency toward knee-jerk reactions, possible temper flare ups, and "flying off the handle". Also be prepared for a strong push to take some action that you may have been delaying due to a sense of fear or resistance to change. Fire can be a powerful and wonderful energizer. When it is in balance, it gives us the energy and passion we need to take the big leaps. When out of balance, it may bring up old issues of anger, fear, resentment, impatience or frustration.
The delicate balance between these two polarized energy requests that you take dynamic action when you are called to do so, and surrender to the Greater Will when there is no clear action to take. Exercising our bodies and exorcising our demons during this time is necessary in order to ensure that we are collectively creating that which will ultimately serve the highest good of all, while surrendering control to a Higher Power.
On a positive global note, this energy indicates a real possibility for a renewed economic growth and the establishment of new businesses, projects or endeavors. Just don't try to push the envelope too hard. Take action when its called for, and contemplate your navel in search of direction when there is no clear path to follow. This is also an intensely creative time and is especially good for creating music or art that carries a larger message and is meant to heal the heart.

Gift: Fire: Creation: Zincite
Zincite has appeared in your cards to tell you that creativity is called for in the current situation. You are a naturally creative being, and one of your roles on the Earth plane is to master the processes of creation and manifestation. It is time to reclaim this important source of personal power by learning to channel this potent force into the higher realms of being.
Zincite has come to remind you of the joy you once found in releasing energy through play and creativity. Allow the energy of Zincite to open and activate your second chakra, awakening the creative force within. Breathe the energy upward through your central chakric column, allowing it to clear and activate the higher chakras with its powerful vibration. By activating this powerful inner force of creativity, you will increase your ability to manifest new ideas, experiences and abundance in your life. Zincite has come as a teacher on this quest of self knowledge and expression. Invoke the energy of Zincite and utilize the fire of your own being to transform and transmute your reality.

Lesson: Storm: Transformation: Moldavite
If you have drawn Moldavite as your ally, hold on! It's going to be an exciting ride for the next few months. You may experience a "falling away" of old relationships, jobs, securities, and situations. Anything that does not serve your ultimate path may go spinning off into space, leaving you transformed. Moldavite is not always an easy Ally, as its purgative effects can leave you feeling like you've been put through the ringer, but it is truly a stone that indicates change for the better. It has a beautiful, extremely powerful and high vibration which creates a resonance with Universal understanding and creation. Expect an increase in psychic or "coincidental" phenomenon. It is time for you to begin the next phase of your spiritual learning, and Moldavite is a powerful teacher!

eye, Crown, and etheric chakras.
Affirmation: I allow the power of
Light to transform my life.
Analysis:
The powerful Fire element energy of the previous period continues into this season, firing the starting gun and getting things moving in an intense and transformational way. After the balancing act of the previous season, this one will feel like all holds have been removed and everything put into position in the previous season will explode forward. This season will feel rather like riding a skateboard down a hill in San Francisco while wearing a blindfold. Adrenalin and excitement will abound, but the transformative energy of Moldavite also promisesto wash any castles made of sand. Spend the end of the last season planning on what you wish to launch, and creating a firm foundation for it. Then, once this energy enters our psyche, you'll be prepared to move quickly in a direction that you know is solid. On a collective level, there will be destruction of old forms that no longer serve us. This can take the form of massive changes in the regulation of business and economy, and/or revelations leading to massive grass-roots action to create change on social levels. This is neither a calm nor a particularly easy time, but it promises breakthrough on a grand scale!
The lesson card of Moldavite is similar to the Tower card in traditional tarot, indicating the shaking of foundations, removal of illusion and massive cleansing of anything that is no longer aligned with where we are meant to be going. The more gracefully and consciously you accept this time of revelation and restructuring, the easier it will be. The more we attempt to resist change on personal and societal levels, the more things will have to be shaken up to force our acceptance of the shift. This is an excellent time to recognize where you have been in a place of resistance to change, and to consciously embrace change instead.
The gift card of Creation tells us that the fiery, creative energy of the previous system has not abated. If we can harness and focus this energy, we can create massive breathrough in our personal lives and in the outmoded systems of government, education, etc. with which our global culture is currently struggling. Our intentions will be like arrows. We can either aim those arrows consciously and hit our target, or we can shoot wildly into the air and feel the prick of our creations landing on top of us. Nothing will be in half measure and so clarity of intention and action is paramount. Fortunately, the previous season's energy offers us the gift of being thwarted occaisionally to slow us down. This will allow us to see which of the creations we intend to manifest are true creations, and which should be abandoned in favor of something more sound or evolved. Having a creative outlet or a structured project or goal to focus this energy on will ensure that you don't climb the walls. On a global level, we can expect to see the fall of shaky systems, economies and possibly governments, as the way is made clear for the new to be manifested.
As you can expect a continuation of the antsy energy of the previous season, continue to watch out for taking illconsidered action or allowing your temper to get the best of you. This goes for government policies as well as personal experience as well.
Gift: Earth: Manifest Light: Hematite
Hematite has appeared in your cards today to remind you that part of your purpose here on Earth is to bring the Light of Spirit into the physical world through your creations, actions and words. The physical realm is composed of varying frequencies of Light. By focusing upon becoming a channel for that Light, you will begin to manifest it into the physical world through your creations and experiences. Take time throughout the day to focus on expressing the light of Spirit through whatever you are doing. Connect with the Earth element and bring the Light not only into your own body, but onto the planet as well. It is through this expression of Spirit that the Age of Light will be born into the world.

Lesson: Water: Inner Peace: Tourmaline
When Tourmaline appears to you, you are being told that the answers you are seeking will appear when you stop living for the past or the future, and begin resonating with the vibration of Inner Peace. It is in the moment that we create and live through joy. By living in the current moment you are able to release the emotional patterns you created in the past, and you free yourself to create each moment as you wish it to be. You will not find your answers in the future, and you will not find them in the play of the past. You will only truly discover yourself when you disconnect from the roles you may have created for yourself and those around you. This can occur when you accept peace with yourself and the world. Seize the moment and become like Tourmaline; emanating peace, joy, and healing.

Affirmation: I live and create in

Analysis:
Finally! This last season of the calendar year brings forth the fruit of all of the labor and action of the previous six months. The Manifest Light card promised the manifestation of light onto the planet and into our hearts as we see the outcome of what we have been working to create. This card is the most developed of the Earth element cards. Whereas Earth appeared in the challenge position at the beginning of the year, bringing with it a rocking of our foundations, it has now moved into the gift position, bringing to completion the restructuring that has been the theme of the year. This shift has been toward the manifestation of new systems on the planet that reflect our higher awareness of who we are as humans, and how we wish to support one another and the planet. While our relizations of what needs to change may have come about through less-than-comfortable circumstances and events that forced choices about higher action, we come to the this season with our hardest work done. A collective sigh of relief may be heard round the world as the passionate and fiery energy of the previous six months abates and we settle into the support of the new foundations that have been created.
Our challenge during this time is that of slowing down and finding a place of Inner Peace and healing any emotional wounds we may be carrying from the intense experiences of the year. Inner Peace is governed by tourmaline-- especially green and/or pink tourmaline-- which is a high lithium stone that brings emotional balance and rest to the weary heart. It is interesting to note that another high lithium stone (Lepidolite) was the challenge in the season between March and June. Similar energies are carried by the two stones, but while Lepidolite in the challenge position indicated the need to surrender to larger forces and release control, the Tourmaline card indicates more of an elightened Peace settling upon us. This can also indicate positive moves toward peace round the world.
Again we have the receptive elements of Earth and Water in this house, just as we did at the beginning of the year. This is not a great time for taking new action or launching new projects. Instead, it is an opportunity to reap what you have already sown in the previous nine months. In many ways, this is an energy dynamics that reminds me of the energy just after the birth of a child. Nine long months of growing something new, with all of the attendent difficulties and joys, has now paid off and its time to rest and care for the infant creations you have brought into the world.
In some ways it may be a difficult adjustment from the breakneck pace of the previous six months to this more sedate and contemplative energy. It is its own reward, however, so enjoy it while it lasts!
Gift: Fire: Leadership: Sunstone
When Sunstone enters your cards, you are being asked to take the position of Leader in the present situation. Be clear about your motivation in assuming this position, as any ego-based motives will ultimately be exposed by the powerful light of Sunstone. Seek out the advice and knowledge of those who have walked further along this path than you have. True leadership begins with the ability to listen to others, and to respond to them from the wisdom of your heart, not from the platitudes of ego. Whatever the specifics of the leadership role that you are to take on, remember that enlightened action for the good of all is the only true course for a leader of today. The power of a leader lies in his or her response-ability. Be willing to take the action the good of all makes apparent to you, and move forward in the courage of your heart's convictions.

Affirmation: I respond joyfully to

Lesson: Earth: Male Power: Pyrite
When Pyrite appears in your cards, you are being asked to seek out and employ the male aspect of your self to resolve the current situation. This male aspect is the solar energy that resides within you, encouraging you to take the action that is indicated by your highest guidance. Pyrite speaks of movement, and a time of making yourself into the light of the Sun. The ability to plant new seeds and to act upon your intuition are nurtured by Pyrite. This Ally is calling you to begin to apply on the Earth plane what you have learned by going within. It is time to manifest the creations that you have conceived, by taking action and expressing your inner truth.

Analysis:
The overall energy for the year is a combination of the Fire energies of the March - September season, and the Earth element energies at the beginning and ending of the year. Fire and Earth together are a combination that allows for manifestation on the Earth plane and stimulates the clearing of "stuck" energies in one's life and on a larger planetary level.
Our gift overall is the Leadership card, governed by Sunstone, which promotes the right use of power to serve larger groups in reaching common goals. This is a beautiful gift card, as it encourages self-responsbility and the use of one's personal energy in service to humanity. Leadership in this context is not about heirarchical power over others. Instead, it reflects true leadership, which is the use of one's personal gifts and abilities in support of others. Sunstone is an empowering mineral that helps to clear and balance the solar plexus chakra. This chakra is directly related to how we use our personal power to create change and manifest our intent.
Our greatest challenge throughout the year is in coming into balance with our directive power, both personally and within our cultural systems. The Male Power card has nothing to do with one's sex. It has to do with one's ability to use directive energy to affect change on external situations and experience. You can think of this card as representing your ability to apply your energy to affect change in the world. When this card is in the lesson position it asks us to review how we have been using our power in less-than-balanced ways. This may mean manipulating others, using victim role playing to eschew responsbility for our creations, and forcing our will instead of aligning with Divine Will. This lesson echoes throughout the year, but is especially important during the March-September period when our creative energy and personal power are brought to the forefront of our experience.
On a larger level, this dynamic directly speaks to the restructuring of how our governments and systems use their power in the world. The direct correllation between the Leadership card and this Directive Power card speaks of a major restructuring in the power base of the governments of the world, as well as within our own lives.
